Paddle with us on our 3½ to 4 hour Waites Island Kayak Tour which offers a unique opportunity for shelling, swimming, and sunbathing on a beach that is accessible only by boat. With the expertise that only an experienced guide can offer. We time this tour for the best shelling times and to catch the falling tide out to the island and the rising tide back in for an easier paddle.
During this Waites Island Kayak Tour tour you will:
- Kayak through the pristine marsh channels to Waites Island, one of the few undeveloped barrier islands on the east coast of South Carolina
- Experience what is only accessible to the public by boat.
- See Birds such as Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, Marsh Hens, and Snowy Egrets, Terns, Oyster Catchers, and Black Skimmers, and large Brown Pelicans
Our warm summers bring in Loggerhead Sea Turtles which are often spotted breaking the water’s surface to replenish their air supply. Bottle Nose dolphins can also be seen regularly throughout the year frolicking in the waves or feeding on Redfish in the shallow creeks.
Paddle through the peaceful saltwater marsh and enjoy the solitude and serenity that this thriving ecosystem has to offer. Don’t forget you camera for photo opportunities abound!
